About Me


Lorraine Marks has been teaching private and group music classes since 1977, and has been on the staff of the Pine Crest School in Boca Ratori, Cranford and New Providence New Jersey Public Schools school systems. Ms. Marks is the founder artistic director of the Florida Intergenerational Orchestra. 

She is a Florida state certified music teacher, a member of the Florida Music Educators Association, Center forthe Arts at Mizner Park - Education Committee, American String Teachers Association, Alliance of Arts Educators, Delray Cultural Roundtable, American Symphony Orchestra League. Ms. Marks' professional career in performing and orchestral conducting includes awards and recognition from national and international organizations such as the United Nations, Congressional Recognition, Family Circle Magazine, CBS Evening News, CBS "Windows on America" and NBC "Four Stories". 

Ms. Marks continues to expand her own musical development by performing in professional orchestras, in her own string quartet, and speaking to local and statewide organizations about "Healthy Aging Through Music"
